Make These 6 Embroidery Projects at an Upcoming OESD Event
This two-day, hands-on program features 6 hands-on embroidery projects as well as demonstrations on stabilizer and embroidery techniques.
Each attendee will also receive the class CD, handouts and a Goody Bag with a retail value of over $200!
The program also features a trunk show featuring 50+ collections.
Now for the 6 projects you can expect to make during the event:
1. In the Hoop Sachet Bags
In the hoop designs are ones that are constructed inside of your embroidery hoop. Learn the technique of placement and sewing out the entire bag using your embroidery machine.
These easy and graceful in the hoop projects are perfect for potpourri, gift bags or just decoration. Each design motif is included in 3 sizes, perfect for whatever application you choose.
2. Stitch 'N' Turn Sleep Masks
Get some zzzzz's with these adorable Stitch 'N' Turn Sleep Masks. A perfect gift for a college student or the professional napper!
Select fabric according to the embroidery design we have created for you and cut a piece of fabric and stabilizer to fit your hoop size.
The entire mask is made in the hoop.
3. Door Hanger
Hang out with these fun and easy in-the-hoop projects - perfect for setting the tone for anyone bold enough to enter your crafting space!
First, you will need your embroidery hoop, a piece of stabilizer, and two pieces of fabric the size of your hoop, one for the front and one for the back.
We have already created the design in your kit. In-the-hoop instructions make this fast easy to create one for every room!
4. Freestanding Tea Light Holders
Tea light holders are a beautiful way to add warmth and light to your home. These bring your embroidery to life using stunning freestanding lace designs!
Machine-embroidered lace pieces are the perfect wrap for battery powered tea lights.
Follow these helpful instructions to become a master at making the unique type of embroidery, including tips on stabilizer, needle choice, and more.
5. In the Hoop Mug Rugs
Equal parts fashion statement and table protector, these mug rugs make great coaster replacements and conversation pieces.
Featuring innovative fabric layering for eye-catching dimensionality. Perfect for your morning coffee or late-night tea, OESD’s In-the-Hoop Mug Rug is the perfect accessory for your favorite cup.
Using colorful and contrasting fabric, your embroidery machine and OESD’s step-by-step instructions, you too can make a Mug Rug for your favorite drink.
6. In the Hoop Towel with Appliqué
Appliqué embroidery uses fabric pieces to fill in parts of a design and finishes with a smooth satin stitch.
To prepare the appliqué piece, spray a piece of medium-weight cutaway stabilizer with temporary adhesive. Smooth the appliqué fabric on top.
Then, place the printed die line on top, and cut out the shape. In the above step, the appliqué fabric is backed with cutaway stabilizer.
We'd love to have you join us at the event. Join us at Moore’s of Huntington Beach June 15th and 16th, 10am-4pm each day.
