Class Descriptions

Class # 1:
Love Tote

Moore’s Sewing Center is excited to announce Judy Fredenburgh will be joining us at our Fall 2019 QES Creative Expo!

In addition to showcasing the Floriani, Quilters Select, and RNK Distributing product lines, Judy will also be teaching the Moore’s Love Tote Project each day of the event!

Judy will be covering techniques involving embroidery, sewing, appliqué, electronic cutters, creating lined zipper pockets in the hoop, and more!

Learn how to make this cute and functional tote bag with different applique mediums and techniques, as well as a zippered pocket - all in the hoop! Whether your passion is quilting, embroidery, sewing, or digital cutting this project will expand your skills using the newest technology perfect for both beginners and seasoned sewists!

Class # 2:
Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

In this one day class featuring Kimberbell Designs, “Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice”, you will create three autumn-themed projects. Each project features rich fall colors to accent your home or make wonderful gifts.  Enjoy the Linen Basket accent featuring an adorable acorn. This will make a welcome accent to your families feast at Thanksgiving.  In addition, the wall hanging with the metal hanger will be a seasonal favorite for years to come. But, don’t forget the wonderful quilted and cozy Mug Hug to help make any hot drink a little bit more special at this time colder time of year. In this class, we will use special techniques for “Fall-Tastic” embroidery.

Class #3:
Two classes in one!

1st Class: Clutch Bag

In this class, you’ll explore techniques such as gathering, creating trims, the wave stitch, and utilizing specialty threads to create your own one-of-a-kind clutch! Create this fashionable and functional clutch for your next special occasion using the Babylock Triumph serger. Its amazing threading system makes it so easy to use different stitches to add unique designs to your project.

2nd Class: Scrumptious Teatime Mug Mat

Each one of these modern mug mats will help you learn a specific technique on your way to successful ruler work quilting with a domestic sewing machine.

We will review echoing and marking and introduce several other useful tools. You will go away with the skills that you need to be successful at ruler work for years to come. 

As a bonus, we also teach Template Quilting, a fast and easy raw-edge design technique to enhance your quilted project. Learn key techniques for successful ruler work including “Stitch in the Ditch” in any direction, working with straight and curved templates, creating curved cross-hatching, using spinning and pin mounted rotating templates and so much more!

Registration begins at 8 am and is first come first serve. You will be contacted if your registration request for classes and days cannot be fulfilled due to capacity.
